Butlins, let the lad go to the kiddies club while you get stuck into the mucky women that frequent such places.

Sounds a bit wanky but mate of mine is separated etc and had a week away with his lad recently. He asked his kid to write down what things he'd like to do on his holidays with his dad

Based his location on some of what the kid said etc. Sometimes kids just want the simple stuff

Re: Holiday for a single Dad
A Disney holiday is a holiday for dreary unimaginative cunts who want their children brought up on a diet of american shit.

Disney = Rip off cunts.

Re: Holiday for a single Dad
Euro Disney is a great shout your 6 year old won't forget it.
Me and my lot have been twice.i wouldn't recommend staying in the park, foods crap and a stitch up.
The last time we went stayed in hotel d'lycee near to Valle.d'europe(similar to the discount place in Oxfordshire ).
A decent enough hotel with free parking .
Loads of nice places to eat nearby.

Have a good one whatever you decide.

I'm in sort of same boat my son is 5... Going on a few shorter holidays this year to start off with centre parks then fishing on a camp site for a week with swimming pool etc... Allow us some fun but also in this country incase anything happens will venture further afield next year

Re: Holiday for a single Dad
Take a look at the Keycamp sites across Europe, camping, mobiles, tree houses, lodges all sorts for all budgets. France is ideal, plenty to do for the little blighter and you too. My kids loved it at that age.

Whatever dont listen to those suggesting you give it a swerve, you will build bridges now that she wont break and will remain in situ when he is old enough to make his own calls

Good luck and pm if you want further advice on Keycamp type holidays

Took both mine to Ibiza holiday village on my own. Had a great time but i'm not fussed about getting pissed when i've got my kids. It was their holiday rather than mine.

*nods

SON, they do a TWO day ticket now, basically half's the second day rate. Every time I've been they've added more stuff too. The 'beach' is worth visiting it alone for.

I can imagine it would be great for kids because of the stuff they have too.

Why has madeeasy got a whomail - he hasn't even replied has he?

I'm a single dad and have been away a number of times with my lad, but it really depends on what you both enjoy.

The worst thing in my sons mind is a place with kids clubs or that sort of thing.

We've been to Cuba a couple of times, a number of good excursions including reasonably priced swimming with dolphins. The place we stayed in have a number of activities we both enjoy, plus swimming etc. He loved that - but then has also loved Cornwall and some city breaks.

This year we're doing a Road trip in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada.

The choice of holidays are endless, but it really comes down to what you and your kid enjoy doing together.

Good luck whatever you decide
